Osama bin Laden was the founder of al-Qaeda, and believed to be responsible for sept.11th and other attacks on the U.S. He was on the list of most wanted terrorist and was the main target of the war on terror. On April 29th
Barack Obama authorized a raid on bin laden's location.
On May 1, 2011, in Washington, D.C President Barack Obama announced that Osama bin Laden had been killed. Within 24 hours he body was buried at sea.
Now that he is dead, you can hear a big sigh in the United States. It was an outbreak of national celebration in places like Washington D.C., New York and Pennsylvania all over one man's violent death. TV comedians spared no time to ridicule his death. Should we be laughing about something melancholic? Should we celebrate his death?
Stop and think about why you are celebrating. Is it because he has killed thousands of people and now the U.S. killed him? If that's the case our four founding fathers killed thousands of people and were also slave owners. Christopher Columbus murdered millions, yet he has his own holiday. So now let's rephrase the statement. It is not because he has killed thousands of people, but the fact that he killed thousands of our people. God forbid that is an unforgivable sin. That must be punished by death. We cannot even give him the respect of a proper Muslim burial. He at least deserves that. After all he is the monster the U.S. created. Once upon a time when it was convent for us he was our friend.
Two wrongs never made a right. Violence never created peace just war. No matter how much wrong he has done, the death of a person is never something to celebrate. Yes Osama bin Laden was the founder of al-Qaeda, and believed to be responsible for sept.11th and other attacks on the U.S. He was still a human being and should have been treated as such.
